Dear People of Saint Anne Catholic Community,
Today, Saint Anne Parish School, along with other Catholic schools across the nation, begins a week of events commemorating National Catholic Schools Week, which runs through February 1st. The theme remains Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed. This encompasses the core products and values that we are teaching our students each and every day at Saint Anne Parish School. Not only are we teaching our students to become servant leaders, faith-filled disciples and enriched young people of this parish community, we, as educators, are working in partnership with our parent community to help our students grow in every aspect of their development. In Catholic schools today, we are all learners, servants and leaders … adults and students alike! These shared qualities are what make our school work and our students succeed at Saint Anne, in high school, in college and beyond!
Parents play a vital role in Catholic education and in the success of our students and our school! Today, on Parent Appreciation Day, we acknowledge the role of parents as our partners, and we celebrate their countless contributions to the success of our parish school. We, as educators, could not do what we do without the unending support of our parent community, and we are so grateful! Not only do they choose to send their children to Saint Anne Parish School, they instill values and expectations for academic excellence, faith formation and a dedication to service to others, which contribute to the success of our students in school and outside of school. Through their wisdom, love and nurturing, they have helped us shape the children of Saint Anne into such remarkable young people. We thank God for the presence of our students’ parents in all of our lives today and always. We are grateful for their partnership in our family in Faith.
In addition, I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge and express my gratitude on behalf of the entire Saint Anne Parish School faculty, staff and student body for the ongoing support of this vibrant faith community. Our hearts are filled with gratitude as we benefit from the continuous religious guidance, of our parish priests, Father Chris and Father Joji, along with our devoted Pastor, Father Bernie. We benefit from our dedicated Business and Operations Manager, Mrs. Margaret Buckstaff, our Parish and School Leadership and the financial support of the larger faith community, and we truly appreciate your steadfast commitment to our shared mission to prepare our children and young people to become successful scholars, responsible citizens and faith-filled Catholics who will have a lifelong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Your support and trust enables us to sustain the level of excellence each and every day for our students that is worthy of the National recognition as a two-time Blue Ribbon School!
In closing, please see below our schedule of events for Catholic Schools Week 2019, where we will continue to recognize school and parish leaders, our dedicated faculty/staff and most importantly, our successful students, who, collectively, make our Catholic school a wonderful place for all of us each and every day! In addition, please join us at Sunday’s Open House/ Hospitality, in the School Gym, until 12:30 p.m., to learn more about our wonderful parish school as we spotlight the value of Catholic education. We have so much to celebrate and would love to see you there!
God’s blessings today and always,
Mrs. Dawn Kapka
