Dear People of Saint Anne,
In the past month, both Mary Howard (Director of Hope Ministry) and Debbie Egan-Bolton (store manager at House of Hope) have resigned their positions effective at the end of June. Both women have been a wonderful addition to the Hope Ministries team. Mary Howard has brought a high level of energy to the ministry and equally Debbie has moved the resale shop forward during her tenure.
Both Mary and Debbie are leaving to attend to needs in their families and we are proud of them for recognizing this calling and support them in their ministry to their loved ones.
While we conduct a search for a new Director of Hope Ministries, Mary Bottie will provide direction and support as the temporary interim Director of Hope Ministries. She, along with parish administration, will ensure that those who come to the office for help with an immediate need will be served. We do not expect any interruptions in service to the disadvantaged.
As we look for our new Store Manager, I am pleased to report that Peggy Sobolewski along with Sharon Rolf, the Assistant Store Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the House of Hope.
Again, I want to personally thank Mary Howard and Debbie Egan-Bolton and wish them both the best. My prayer is that we will be able to fill these positions with experienced and dedicated people in the near future. In the meantime, I am confident that the ministry is in good hands with these long time volunteers.
I want to also take this opportunity as your Pastor to thank all of you, the volunteers at Project Hope, House of Hope, the Food Pantries, Caring and Sharing and Grants of Hope for all the work you do serving the poor in our community. I am deeply grateful for your commitment to this important St. Anne ministry.
Be at Peace,
Fr. Bernie Pietrzak
