Help us fill 50 containers with kitchen items for a veteran’s new apartment—going from home- less to housed. Saint Anne Hope Ministries, in conjunction with Military Outreach USA, is serving our Chicago area veterans.
We are truly blessed to have military veterans in our community who have defended our freedom. Each year, over 400 veterans in our region transition from being homeless to new apartments. Since the apartments are unfurnished, Military Outreach USA developed a program to help provide standard household items to help make their apartment more like a home. Our goal is to fill 50 plastic bins with kitchen items for a veteranʹs new apartment.
The bins will be delivered to veterans served by our three area Veterans Administration facilities: Jesse Brown/Chicago, Edward Hines/Chicago-Hines and Captain James A. Lovell Center/North Chicago.
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE BEING COLLECTED:
spatulas (Teflon-like), cooking spoons (Teflon-like) large forks (Teflon-like), can openers
