During April and May, 146 of our children are receiving their First Eucharist.
The April 24 and 25 celebrations were filled with great joy as family, friends, and parish community are witness to these children fully participating in the Mass for the first time.
Through the readings and homily, the children are brought to a deeper understanding of the significance of the gift that Jesus gave to us all in the breaking of the bread with his disciples.
Parents, families, and friends took great care in preparing the children to come to the table of the Lord.
Parents, most especially, journeyed with their children through the many months preceding the celebrations to help them learn of Christ’s unending love for us and how he teaches us to live our lives.
First Eucharist Celebrations
The children are all very excited to receive Jesus for the first time!
Many children had special items such as prayer books and rosaries to be blessed.
We are grateful to our pastor, priests, liturgist, musicians, teachers, administrative staff, and all who shared their time and talents to make these celebrations joy-filled and inspriational!
