This summer’s mission trip brought a group of teens and adults to West Virginia, where they rebuilt a trailer home for a man, Mr. Estill Prophet, whose home was destroyed by fire two years ago. He had been living in a trailer with no electricity or running water.
The group gutted the new house trailer and rebuilt it from the ground up. They also tore down an old garage that was falling over a hill and had been Estill’s business site to repair cars. The wood was used to
refurbish his new full size trailer. The kids gave him a card signed by everyone, along with several potted plants to decorate his home.
The group was entertained by a renowned local musician one night and square danced another night. They swam in the New River in some shallow water falls. Each day began and ended with prayer/reflection. It truly was a retreat for all participants.
