Dear Saint Anne parishioners:
On behalf of Hope Ministries, I would like to thank the entire Saint Anne Catholic Community for the continued support to help those in need within the Barrington area.
Hope Ministries is a ministry within the parish and the parent ministry of Project Hope and the House of Hope Resale Shop. Project Hope provides outreach to those needing food or financial assistance for housing, transportation, utilities or medical support. Last year, Project Hope volunteers provided more than 2,000 volunteer hours assisting hundreds in need.
House of Hope Resale Shop is the funding arm for Hope Ministries’ Project Hope. Last year, nearly 300 volunteers gave more than 50,000 hours accepting, sorting and organizing donations to sell in the store. But, without the support of the Saint Anne community to provide donations, patronize the store or volunteer, our ministry would be unable to grant those in need the gift of God’s hope.
Christmas time reminds us that with the birth of Jesus, there is hope in a fractured world. I am routinely reminded of that hope when I see the commitment of our parish and our hundreds of faithful volunteers dedicated to our mission to help our community’s disadvantaged.
Thank you, God bless you and Merry Christmas,
Susan Olafson, Director, Hope Ministries
