My wife Sally and I joined the Sharing Board after hearing Peggy Hirsch, Past-President, speak after Mass a year and half ago about all the wonderful things the Board has done over the
years. Her talk really touched my heart. We joined immediately at the reception that was held following that Mass to celebrate all their accomplishments with our Sharing Partners. The work the Board does is beyond what we thought it would be and has been an extremely rewarding experience. We provide significant financial support to all our Sharing Partners through the generous support from our parishioners through the Gold Envelopes. We provide food and clothing to St. Columbanus’ Food Pantry, coordinate the Christmas Sharing Tree, share school and Mass events with St. Frances of Rome, our Sharing Parish, and brunch with the Harmony Hope and Healing Concerts and the St. Martin de Porres’ Shelter. I have found it to be an extremely rewarding experience and one I would do again in a heartbeat! The Sharing Board is a team of wonderfully dedicated people who live out the Corporal Works of Mercy in a real way. It feels great to give time to something that you know helps people, not just financially. We really work together with all our partners, developing relationships and growing together. If you are looking for a way to get involved and do the work of Jesus in the world, this is it! Join us at our next meeting, Friday, April 5th, 9:00 a.m., Parish Center.
