NEWS FROM FOURTH GRADE
The 4th grade celebrated Arbor Day on April 29. They discussed the importance of trees in their lives. Trees give off oxygen that we need to breathe. They also reduce erosion and pollution in our waterways. Trees provide food, protection and homes for many animals as well as lumber and paper. In keeping with Laudato Si, the discussion included the need to take care of our environment. To celebrate Arbor Day every child in 4th grade received a Balsam Fir sapling (donated by the Village of Barrington) to plant at home to do their part in helping our environment.
