Preschool students in Mrs. Keck’s class have been having so much fun learning all about Christmas before
break. Here is a peek at some of the fun things we were up to:
Our dramatic play center is always a favorite place to explore and act out different roles. We just had our area
turned into a Christmas cookie bake shop. They even thought about making “cookie deliveries”.
We used our light table to decorate trees with transparent objects while working on our fine motor skills.
Our block area was transformed into Santa’s workshop equipped with sparkly elf hats. The students loved
coming up with different toys they were “making” for other kids to enjoy.
The students were excited to learn that Jesus’ birthday is Christmas Day! We used our Advent calendar and
Advent wreath to help us countdown to this special day.
Along with learning all about the different parts of Christmas where we live, we also read stories and created
projects about how people celebrate Christmas around the world.
Preschool is excited to start exploring winter, snow, and penguins next!
