Dear People of Saint Anne Catholic Community,
We hope this summer has allowed each and every one of you time for rest, relaxation and the opportunity to create fond memories with your loved ones. It is our hope and prayer that our students feel refreshed, renewed and ready for a new and exciting year of growth and learning. As we look ahead at all that this year might reveal, we are reminded that Jesus will walk beside us every step of the way!
This Sunday begins our 2018-2019 school year at Saint Anne Parish School with our 9:00 a.m. Back to School Mass, followed by our Meet the Teacher event, in the school gym, until 1:00 p.m. As the administrators of our vibrant Catholic school, we would like to extend a special thanks to our dedicated members of our Home & School Association as they host hospitality for all parishioners in the school gym following Sunday’s Masses. Classes begin Monday, August 20th. This will be a full day of school for our second through eighth graders. Our kindergarten and first graders will attend a short orientation Monday, with full classes beginningTuesday, August 21st, and our preschool students begin later in the week!
We are grateful for this year ahead and all the great work that is about to begin with our students! Throughout the course of this school year, we, along with our faculty and staff, will work in partnership with our parents to develop the future leaders of our world. We will challenge our students every day to set goals for themselves in the areas of academia, faith and beyond that will not just benefit themselves and their futures, but will also benefit the lives of the people around them.
As Catholic school administrators who hold the same degrees as our public school counterparts, we are passionate about our mission and feel that the safety, happiness and well-being of our students are absolutely paramount to the success of our parish school. Our climate is one of joy and love, where children feel safe to take risks, ask questions and thrive. While these climatic attributes may be shared with our counterparts on the sociological community level, our tireless work to help our students live God-centered lives brings forth a faith community rooted in the best of our Catholic worldview and spirituality. This community of our Saint Anne students, your Saint Anne children, is one in which they learn to filter out the endless noise and chatter of this world, and instead, hear and cultivate in themselves … love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control … and most important, a love for God and one another!
We know that as parents, one of the most important decisions that you can make is where to send your children to school. We realize you have wonderful options in this zip code and are so very grateful for those that have chosen Saint Anne Parish School as your children’s home away from home. We pray, too, that more of our faith community will consider Saint Anne Parish School where they can grow into amazing people who make amazing choices in their lives in which they love the Lord with all their hearts!
God bless you today and always,
Mrs. Dawn Kapka, Principal
Mrs. Lisa Torrence, Assistant Principal
