Phase 2 Letter to Parish

July 10, 2020

July 12, 2020

Dear People of St. Anne,

The Saint Anne Reopening Leadership Team and the Parish Staff, are pleased to announce our Church will begin to offer public masses under the Phase II certification from the Archdiocese of Chicago. We shall reopen the Church for public (in-person) celebrations of the Eucharist starting next weekend. We are excited for the opportunity to welcome you back home.

Attendance numbers are limited by Archdiocese of Chicago and State of Illinois COVID-19 directives, so initially we are allowed to have only 50 people at each Mass, exclusive of ministers. We plan to be able to increase that number to allow up to 20% of our Church capacity over the next few weeks.

Our schedule will be as follows:

WEEKDAY MASSES

  • Monday through Friday 8:15am– starting July 20, 2020

WEEKEND MASSES

  • Saturday at 5:15 p.m., starting July 18, 2020
  • Sunday at 8:00 a.m., starting July 19, 2020
  • Sunday at 10:30 a.m., starting July 19, 2020

RECONCILIATION

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available each Tuesday, beginning July 21 after the morning mass from 9:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. We will have five reservation slots available.

All masses and the celebration of Reconciliation require reservations to attend. We are not allowed to welcome walk-ins at any of the weekday or weekend masses at this time. To make a reservation to attend mass and for more detailed information, including a video, to help prepare you for your arrival, please visit the website at www.stannebarrington.org. If you require assistance making a reservation through sign up genius, please contact the parish office at 847-382-5300.

The health and safety of our parishioners continues to remain our highest priority. We are looking forward to reuniting with you for mass, but understand the risks associated with the spread of COVID-19 might prevent you and/or family from attending Mass. It is up to each person to make a decision that is right for you and your family. Dispensation from Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation continues to be offered by Cardinal Blase Cupich.

St. Anne will continue to offer our online weekend masses and daily reflections through our E-blast and website: www.stannebarrington.org. We hope you will continue to participate in this manner until you are able to join us in-person.

Our parish offices are currently not open to for in person visits, however we have a receptionist answering phone calls  Monday-Friday between 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  She can answer any questions you may have or assist you with reservations. The parish office phone number is 847-382-5300.  Next week we will have a new video related to Mass requirements and our protocols during these COVID-19 restrictions available on our website and through our eblast.

I am grateful for your hope-filled patience during this pandemic and reopening phases. The Parish staff and I are eager to welcome you back into the church for mass. In the meantime, my prayers continue for St. Anne parishioners and our community as we enter into Phase II of Reopening.

In the name of the Reopening Leadership Team,

Fr. Bernie Pietrzak
