The adults seeking to find out about the Catholic Church through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) have been continuing their faith journey begun last year.
Last weekend, Fr. Rodolfo presided over the Rite of Sending. At this ritual, the Parish formally sent the Catechumen for Election by Cardinal Cupich at Holy Name Cathedral on February 21st. We also celebrated the Call to Continuing Conversion for our Candidates. A milestone in the RCIA process, the Church ratified formally the Catechumen’s readiness for the Sacraments of Initiation, and the Candidates’ readiness to be received into full Communion with the Catholic Church.

Please join us as we continue with the Catechumen and Candidates on their journey of exploration of their relationships with God and the Church community. Please offer prayers for all of them during the weeks of Lent.

Karly House is our Catechumen.
“I have always wanted to feel closer to God. I met my boyfriend 3-1/2 years ago, started going to Mass with him and his family, and fell in love with the Catholic Church. Saint Anne’s feels like home, and I am so happy to be receiving my Sacraments here.”

Daniella Spitelli is a one of our Candidates.
“I am grateful to have found the Saint Anne Catholic Community to continue my faith journey by receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. My faith is very important to me, and I look forward to a lifelong relationship with God.”

Julie Spitelli is also one of our Candidates (and Daniella’s sister).
“I joined RCIA while finishing my college degree at Concordia University Chicago where I will graduate this May with a degree in Strategic Communications. I could not be happier that I found Saint Anne Church to continue my faith journey. I always wanted to complete this sacrament to strengthen my faith and become closer to God. “
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
