
Dear Parishioners,
It’s easy and fulfilling to be part of a team. Volunteer now and choose times that fit your schedule. Opportunities involving the following roles are available for all weekday and weekend masses and all sacraments: Training will be provided.
Greeting team: Greeters manage the flow of parishioners as they enter the church and move through the Gathering Space. Primary duties involve:
- Manage the Ela and Franklin Street entrances and exits
- Conduct temperature checks
- Advise parishioners to return home if they are ill
- Remind parishioners to social distance, wear masks and hand sanitize
- Guide parishioners to the check-in station
- Check parishioner reservations
Usher team: Ushers manage the flow of parishioners once in the Sanctuary and throughout the mass or service. Primary duties involve:
- Maintain social distancing in the aisles and pews
- Guide parishioners through the communion process
- Manage the people flow as parishioners exit the Sanctuary row by row
- Place the collections from each mass into the safe
Disinfecting team: Sanitize essential and trafficked areas of the church after each service. Primary duties include:
- Masks and gloves will be provided
- Cleaning/disinfecting supplies will be provided
- Maintain appropriate schedules and verification methods per Certification process
- Ensure that cleaning and disinfecting occurs after each service
Requirements:
Health: Any volunteer must not be part of a “vulnerable population” (such as; diabetes, lung disease, cancer and other chronic illnesses).Team members 18 years or older are welcome. High School students who wish to volunteer may do so for the disinfecting team, provided they have permission from their parent or guardian.
