Dear People of Saint Anne,
As a Faith Community, we are looking forward to being back together for worship and the Sacramental celebrations that are so meaningful and nourishing to our lives as Catholics. As you may know during these last three months, the Legacy of Faith projects, which includes the Gathering Space restrooms, the Family Room, the Sacristy and the Hospitality Room have gone through demolition and the work of renovation has begun at a very active pace. As I share this communication, we are in the midst of completing the restrooms.
That being said we have been taking the necessary steps to establish critical processes and procedures that we need to be certified for Phase 1/ 1A, which will enable us to open the chapel for private prayer, funerals, weddings and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We believe that we will be certified in the next few days. Starting this coming Sunday, June 14, we have two individual celebrations of infant Baptism taking place. (10 people per celebration) That is a wonderful beginning to our Reopening process.
We also continue to prepare for our first opportunity to celebrate Sunday Eucharist together. We have been blessed with 52 parishioners who have generously volunteered to be members of the Setup, Greeting and Sanitizing Committees. Thanks be to God and to them. But we need at least 100 people to share their time and servant discipleship if we are going to move to Phase 2. Please consider sharing the gift of your time and service with our parish community. Please contact Eryka Accordino at email@example.com to volunteer.
In the meantime, I am grateful for your patience and understanding as we honor both our longing for the Eucharist and Sacramental life, and our responsibility to keep our members and volunteers safe and healthy.
Please look for an email blast this coming Tuesday afternoon that will explain the procedures, dates and times for the Phase1/ 1A reopening plans. Look also for an email video from Rory Cooney, our Director of Liturgy and Music, who will give a walk-through of the procedures for entering the church next week.
In the Lord who is kind and merciful,
Father Bernie Pietrzak
