Last Sunday, close to 6000 parishioners gathered to share in the Easter Eucharist and to profess anew our own Baptismal Promises. For it was on that day of our Baptism that we were connected to the Jesus Christ, given a new identity and the promise of everlasting life, as we became beloved daughters and sons of the eternal God.
Beginning today and over the next three weeks, at the conclusion of the homily, a parish council member representing one of our four parish commissions, will offer us a reflection regarding the particular mission, along with the ministries or organizations of the commission they represent on the Parish Council. to give us a better idea as to how we as a parish, are living out our call as a parish community, to be credible servant disciples and Leaders of the Risen Lord in our midst.
They do so to better familiarize us with the many ways that we as God’s People, are attempting to live out our call as servant disciples and leaders of the Lord – while offering an invitation to us to share our love of God by getting more involved in the ministerial life of our parish community
A Blessed Easter Season,
Father Bernie Pietrzak
