Earlier this week, the Illinois House passed The Reproductive Health Act SB25 by a vote of 64 – 50, with 4 voting present. This legislation will move for concurrence to Illinois Senate. If passed, it will then be sent to the Governor.
This legislation is the most radically pro-abortion measure in the country and makes Illinois an abortion destination. The bill strips all rights from unborn children and makes abortion a fundamental right in Illinois. A full legal analysis of the bill has not been released to date, but we know that all legal protection for unborn children at any stage of their development has been removed.
The bill will have a chilling effect on our state, culture, alternative centers and women.
