Whole community catechesis starts with the premise that learning about our faith is a central part of being Christian, like prayer and mass attendance. Unlike some other forms of learning, faith formation is ongoing throughout our entire lives.
Part of whole community catechesis is bringing people of all ages and life stages together to learn and share their faith. By connecting the generations, adults have the opportunity to learn and share with each other while also being role models for their children. Children learn to integrate faith formation and their parish community into their lives as their customary way of practicing their faith. Community Event participation complements other faith formation offerings by providing a well-rounded approach to learning and living our faith lives.
