The House of Hope store, located at 200 North Hough Street in downtown Barrington, is the main funding source for St. Anne Hope Ministries. Hope Ministries, through its Project Hope Office, provides emergency assistance to individuals and families facing crisis within our community. Assistance may come in the form of food, clothing, medical aid, transportation, shelter or utility support. The revenue that House of Hope store brings in each month goes to funding that assistance.
House of Hope offers many volunteer opportunities year-around for men, women, and students grade 8 and above. The store seeks volunteer assistance Monday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm and also on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 9pm. Days and hours are flexible especially for students working around school and sports.
Student volunteers can offer their services in many ways – helping receive donations at our donation drop-off area, packing at our register areas, sorting donations, restocking, straightening merchandise in the store, assisting customers with purchases to their vehicles, and assisting in pricing of merchandise.
