SPRED – Communities of Faith, Communities of Friends
Inclusion for Persons with Developmental or Intellectual Challenges
SPRED is a parish-based program which provides faith formation and sacramental preparation that is carefully designed for children and adults with developmental or learning disabilities. SPRED provides a comfortable setting for persons of all ages and all abilities to grow in faith and become more deeply aware of God’s love in their lives.
St. Anne is in the process of identifying a few more people who would like to become Helper Catechists as part of our SPRED community. SPRED offers a beautiful way to share faith with others with no experience or background required to participate. Support and training is offered as you are carefully guided through a formation process which gives you time to build relationships and create a place of welcome for the people you will serve.
If this invitation moves you in any way to join in partnership as a catechist with one these special friends, please call or send an e-mail request to learn more. If you have a family member or friend who might benefit from this program, please don’t hesitate to ask questions and explore this marvelous opportunity.
